5 Fashion Muses for Winter Wear

Winter is almost here, which means a new wave of fashion is already in stores. If you're searching for some cold-weather clothing inspiration, check out these muses first. Shelley MacDonald Most designers would kill for Kate Middleton to sport their pieces, and MacDonald was one the latest lucky designers to have Middleton do so. After Middleton wore a pair of MacDonald's earrings on a visit to Yukon, the styles started flying off the shelves. A similar pair of rustic, bronze earrings can easily complement common colours of winter like blues, blacks, grays, and purples. Rachel Bilson Bilson proved that florals are a year-round trend when she attended the Baby2Baby Gala in California. The star stunned in a print that's usually reserved for spring and summer. But on top of a winter shade, like Bilson's blue dress, a floral print looks perfect throughout the cold months. Find a black, gray, or maroon dress with a floral print to pull off a similarly seasonal-appropriate look. 5 Inspirational Fashion MusesHobbs If you haven't gotten a new little black dress yet, this is your chance. You can give the class style a twist with one of the LBDs with lace accents from Hobbs, or try a blue dress instead of black. The designer has become a byword for understated elegance and continues to be an inspiration for many in the fashion industry. And for goodness' sake, remember the importance of the right cut. Even something as simple as a little black dress that fits all your curves correctly can have a significant impact on your wardrobe. Kendall Jenner She just turned 21, but don't let her youth fool you. As a rising model, Jenner has a unique style all her own. She recently appeared on James Corden's the “Late Late Show," and although the hilarity of her guest spot was worth a view on its own, her outfit nearly out-shined her wit. Jenner's strappy black top was a twist on lingerie, complemented with a pair of black trousers. Throw a blazer on over a similar outfit, and you're ready for the cold temperatures. Gigi Hadid Kendall Jenner's model BFF is also a great source for fashion inspiration, especially if you want to branch out from traditional winter looks. While rehearsing for the AMAs, the 21-year-old broke all the colour rules for the season by wearing a bright red jumpsuit with a plunging neckline. If you look at the photo coverage from the event, you can even spot a matching bright red bralette underneath. You don't have to match the look exactly, but don't discount some unusual colours every now and then to shake things up a bit. Marc Jacobs If you want a retro outfit for winter, Marc Jacobs would approve. Jacobs recently threw a party to celebrate the launch of his resort collection, and of course, there was a mandatory dress code for all attendees. Jacobs wanted all his guest to wear '80s-inspired clothes and voluminous hair. He also suggested thick eyebrows, and vertiginous pumps. He described the event as, "A decorative frenzy in electric paradise," and while we're unsure what exactly that means, if Marc Jacobs is endorsing the decade's fashion, it's safe to say that you can too. Malin Åkerman Born in Stockholm, Åkerman is one of Sweden's most fashionable citizens. She recently taught the staff at US Weekly a little Swedish vocabulary, and she looked good doing it! Her leather pants and relaxed top were the perfect mix of professionally posh fashion meets edgy, biker chic. It's a great combination for amping up an otherwise dull season. 5 Inspirational Fashion Muses Just because it's cold, doesn't mean you can't look great. Take note of some of these muses for a winter look that's sure to make you feel as hot as summer. Love & Cheers!
