Last holiday I went to London (my second time around), for a weekend. And just like any other tourists me and my family went sightseeing, shopping and enjoyed our stay as much as possible. But unlike Stockholm, which is my hometown, London is a huge city, and there are loads of places to visit. Therefore I have summed up some boutiques and sightseeing activities! My passion for fashion may not come as a big surprise. But to find affordable, fun shops in such a big city as London is not as easy as it may sound. Even though there are clothing shops in every other corner, most of it is just rubbish. Underneath I have listed some of the most affordable, fashionable and greatest shops, around Oxford, New Bond and Picadilly. Dover Street Market, actually relocated at Haymarket, is the ultimate shop for the fashionista. Even if you are not able to spend on designer clothes, this shop is still worth a visit. With a couple of floors sectioned into different designers, with everything from Gucci to Comme des Garcons and Céline for example, it is the complete fashion experience. And it maybe the most fashionable store around Picadilly, according to me. Come here to be inspired by both the clothes and the stores atmosphere, but also by all the fashionistas visiting this spot. Some stores you visit in the purpose of shopping, but some you may just enter to have a look around and be inspired by. If you want the ultimate glamour experience, through shopping or window shopping, you must go to Old bond street. Where all the high fashion designers are located, for instance: Chanel, Cartier, Valentino and Tiffany & Co. But shops with great offers yet affordable, are Topshop (especially the vintage section), Kate Spade, Pull and Bear, Brandy Melville, Joseph, & other stories and of course Victoria's Secret, just to mention a few. And then the sightseeing. It may sound trite but there is actually a lot of fun activities to do during your stay, which does not include shopping or eating at pubs downtown. During our weekend, we both went up in London eye and went boat touring at Thames. Although these activities were a lot of fun, my favorite part of the weekend was the trip to the Harry Potter film studios, just a hour approximately outside central London. The exhibition located at the studio is amazing and contains all the set props you can imagine from the films. A real dream come true for all the Harry Potter fans out there, just like me! London is therefore a perfect destination for a weekend trip. Because of the city's pulse and all the people watching, it brings you a great town vibe. So if you are looking for a place to go to for a couple of days, just to get away for a while, London might be an excellent choice for you!
